Dr. Koko Warner is an academic officer and head of the Environmental Migration, Social Vulnerability, and Adaptation Section at the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security. She studied development and environmental economics at George Washington University and the University of Vienna where she received her PhD in 2001. She was a Fulbright Scholar from 1996 to 1998 to Austria. She serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Global Warming. Dr. Warner is active in the climate negotiations leading up to a Copenhagen climate agreement in December 2009.
