Louise Bosetti was a Research Officer with the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research in Tokyo, focusing on peace and security issues. A French national, prior to joining UNU she worked for three years at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, Austria, as an Associate Research Officer where she specialized in the analysis of transnational organized crime threats and contributed to the publication of several regional reports on the topic. She also served as a consultant for various international organizations, local consultancy firms and research centres in France, and conducted field research in El Salvador on gang-related violence and policies as part of her studies. She holds a Master’s in Comparative Politics from the Paris Institute of Political Studies.
