Mitsutaku Makino is Head of the Fisheries Management Group at the National Research Institute of Fisheries Science of the Fisheries Research Agency of Japan. He specilizes in fisheries and marine policy analysis and is the author of “Fisheries management in Japan: its institutional features and case studies”, published in 2011 by Springer. He holds a M.Phil from Cambridge University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Kyoto University.
