Shinichiro Kakuma is Vice Director of the Fisheries Extension Center, Okinawa Prefectural Government. He graduated from the Tokyo University of Fisheries and holds a Ph.D. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. His current research interests are satoumi, Marine Protected Areas and fisheries co-management.
