Dr. Sulayman K. Sowe holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Aristotle University, Greece (2007), a Master of Science and Advanced Diploma in Computer Science from Sichuan University, China (1997) and a Bachelor of Education in Science Education from the University of Bristol, UK (1991). He is currently pursuing postdoctoral research, funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), at the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies (UNU-IAS) in Yokohama, Japan. He is also a visiting scholar at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan. His research interests include Free and Open Source Software Development, Knowledge Management and Knowledge Sharing, Information Systems Evaluation, Human Computer Interaction, Social and Collaborative Networks, Software Engineering Education, Digital divide and ICT for Sustainable Development.
